MANAGER FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, CACHE VALLEY HOSPITAL

The Facility Engineer and Security Manager maintains and supervises the staff to ensure they are providing quality work and safety. He/She adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. He/She ensures that specific work goals and deadlines are met, delegates tasks, coaches, and helps develop staff through regular staff meetings and in-services. The Manager is responsible for hiring, evaluating, promoting and disciplining staff. He/She assesses need for and assists in implementation of staff development programs to enhance continued information and knowledge of plant operations and security advances. He/She is guided in decision making by policy and procedures. The Manager is responsible for the physical functions of the hospital and grounds maintenance and security needs. He/She demonstrates the ability to coordinate interdepartmental needs and ensures the departments function support the hospital and its mission, vision, and contributes to the facility wide performance of the hospital. The Facility Engineer is the Safety Officer for the facility. He/She is responsible for the Safety Plans of the hospital and the education of staff for required safety and prevention. The manager has a good working relationship with hospital and department staff and positive customer relations, contributes to the image of the hospital by managing tactical activities with employees and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

* Demonstrates good interpersonal relations, computer, communication, and leadership skills.

* Knowledge of hospital's management and utility systems management

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of an associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* HVAC preferred.

EXPERIENCE JOB KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Building/contractor experience of at least 3 to 5 years and security supervisory experience preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS (required, but not limited to):

* Knowledge of and compliance with NFPA 101 and Life Safety Code
