Position Summary:

The Donor Room RN will be responsible for scheduling and collecting both autologous and allogeneic blood products. This includes obtaining the appropriate paperwork, communication with physicians, scheduling donor appointments, interviewing prospective donors, and performing the phlebotomy. Provides assessment, treatment, and care for donor population patients, adult and geriatric.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Saddleback Memorial Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.Experience:

• 1 - 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  
  


• Must have excellent IV skills Education
  
  


• Current State of California RN License
  
  


• CPR certification required
