What success looks like in this role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for structuring and leading a variety of IT projects, performing the detailed proposal and scope planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate to large projects.
The Project Manager defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses, schedule management, testing, training, and implementation plans, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans. Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, and compliance with all policies and procedures and support artifacts.
Leads a group of technical resources and other IT technical staff and where necessary, collaborates with the business domain and business subject matter experts, relying on experience and solid communication skills to plan and accomplish goals.

Leadership: Builds and maintains team morale, brings together cross-functional team members, and fosters a collaborative approach to delivery. Resolves conflict by addressing issues before it escalates and impedes the achievement of project outcomes.
Manage Change: Manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan.
Risk Management: Documents risks, assumptions, and constraints of project using historical and expert judgment to understand project limitations and Implements actions required to avoid or mitigate project risk events to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.
Monitor and Control Project Work: Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders. Forecasts and tracks costs and revenue to meet project objectives and effectively utilize resources.
Communications: Communicates a sense of urgency when dealing with client issues and clearly articulates the connection between the client's business issues and appropriate technology solutions. Actively manages ongoing stakeholder expectations and ensures they are consistent with deliverables.



You will be successful in this role if you have:
Skills Qualifications and Experience:
* 5+ years of experience managing various types of IT Infrastructure and End User projects
* Demonstrated experience within the IT project management lifecycle including requirements analysis, change management, configuration management, testing, training development, documentation design, and service implementation
* Strong understanding of service offering concepts including Key Performance Indicators, Service Levels, Problem Reports, Change Requests, New Feature Requests, Testing, and Contacts
* BS / BA degree or related experience
* PMP Certification - desired
* 5+ years of experience with MS Project
* Strong project financial management / cost management experience
* Successful track record of client relationship management
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to be very flexible and versatile, capable of wearing multiple hats (Hands on, PM, BA) and driving concurrent tasks to completion
* Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
