Job Information

Avaya is seeking a Director of Executive Compensation to join our team. The role, in collaboration with the broader HR and Compensation team, is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing key executive compensation initiatives that will substantially enhance the success of our business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in executive compensation, including the development of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors at a public company. This role can be based anywhere on the east coast.

Short Description

- Design, manage and administer executive compensation programs including base pay, bonus, long-term incentives, equity programs
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing executive compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending program revision as well as new plans that are market competitive and consistent with compensation trends and business objectives
- Provide guidance to business leaders on pay decisions, policies and guidelines including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related challenges
- Evaluate jobs at the executive levels to determine appropriate pay levels
- Manage the internal processes and report preparation leading up to quarterly or interim Compensation Committee meetings
- Consolidate, interpret and present data analysis for HR leadership team and the executive team on a variety of compensation-related topics
- Keep apprised of governance and compliance issues as they relate to executive compensation
- Lead the development of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis
- As a member of the Global Compensation team, work collaboratively with members of the HR team and other compensation team members on projects, as assigned
- Make process improvements recommendations at every opportunity

Long Description

Executive compensation design experience in a public company
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Advanced Excel, including expertise in all advanced functions (i.e. database management, lookup tables, macros, etc)
Solid use of other MS applications including Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint
Ability to present facts and recommendations clearly and effectively
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to build complex data models
Strong knowledge of industry trends and market changes

Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA preferred
CCP or CEP preferred
10+ years of global compensation and/or consulting experience
