Who We're Looking For:
Velex is currently looking for a Microwave Radio Technician to join our growing team.
What You’ll Do:
Must be able to assist/perform path alignment of microwave hops of differing frequencies and equipment.
Experience installing AC/DC power, Fiber, Ethernet, Coax and DS1 Cabling, Installs, commissions, integrate, tests electronic equipment such as microwave radios, base stations, routers, racks, fuse panels and related cabling, etc.
Perform Anritsu sweep testing, DS1, coax, AC/DC power, grounding and testing all aspects of wireless communication site.
Determining the cause of equipment failure using various types of complex test equipment.
Maintaining PSTN and cell site circuits by routine or fault testing and repairing as needed.
Programming and testing new products.

Maintain cellular radio equipment by correctly aligning frequencies with test equipment. Test for faulty circuits, repair or replace as necessary, and take radio measurements to ensure appropriate signal strength or quality.
Determine and order supplies and equipment needed for repairs and replacement of defective system components.
Skills and Background You’ll Bring:
3 plus years of experience in a Wireless Technician role
Strong PC and IP trouble shooting skills
Experience with carrier outdoor field equipment
Microwave experience a must
Alcatel Lucent 8000/9500 is preferred but not required
Must be willing to work in any location
