Mathematics Faculty are responsible for all levels of math classes as assigned by the Academic Dean. Must be willing to teach a variety of methodologies: face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and video conferencing. Must evaluate and report student performances and progress in courses in accordance with College and division policies and procedures. This instructor will also be responsible for course instruction and classroom management. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching classroom and laboratory sessions, curriculum development/restructuring, committee assignments, student academic advising, student recruitment, assessment of student learning, responsibility for materials and supplies, and budget management. All candidates interviewed will be required to provide a teaching demonstration.Must meet minimum faculty qualifications and adhere to any contract requirements.
Required Qualification

Possess a master's degree in Mathematics or subfield from a regionally accredited graduate school, or possess a master's degree from a regionally accredited graduate school and have successfully completed 18 credit hours of graduate level courses in mathematics or sub-field.
Preferred Qualification

Community College and Online teaching experience is preferred. Candidate must be student-focused and willing to work in the online environment utilizing technology and learning resources adopted to support student success. An understanding of community college philosophy and the community college student is desirable. Proven ability to collaborate.
Physical Demands

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver's license, and a good driving record.
