Currently looking for lab assistants in multiple programs (Aviation, Auto, Construction, Diesel, HVAC , Welding, and Manufacturing fields)
This position will assist the faculty in assessing student progress, instruction and be responsible for safety requirements during labs, will maintain competency and knowledge of current practice and trends in residential construction pedagogy, and function in a team with program faculty to promote, develop and deliver quality education programs that are in the best interest of the students and the college.
All labs must meet safety regulations. Other duties include, but are not limited to, help set-up and prepare for laboratory sessions, lab oversight which includes safety, and assist in student success.
Candidate for this position should have expertise in the field and be able to have a positive relationship with the students. Must maintain lab safety and cleanliness through instructional activities.
Required Qualification

Associates degree, diploma or certificate OR 6000 hours work experience.
Preferred Qualification

Physical Demands

Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require heavy lifting depending on assignment and lab. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Requires the safe use of electrical equipment. Ability to use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver's license, and a good driving record.
