The Director of RF Product Development is responsible for the creation of new products and test methods for validating and characterizing RF and mmWave semiconductor components. They will work closely with product marketing, providing a technical view of emerging market trends (5G, mmWave radar sensors, silicon photonics, 400G ethernet, etc.) to help set product direction. This will require identifying industry trends and customer use cases in these markets, as well as collaboration with customers on new products and platforms. They will lead a cross functional team responsible for hitting product development milestones including performance, lifetime, cost, market window, and manufacturability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leads cross functional engineering team developing next generation RF and mmWave wafer probe and RF calibration products.

- Participates in collecting customer input and translates customers' test requirements into actionable development strategies.

- Collaborates closely with marketing to set technical direction, define development goals, and calculate project ROIs.

- Lead engineering team in setting project goals, planning projects, building and executing to project timelines, and staying within budget.

- Coordinates work closely with corporate R&D, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing.

- Manages and develops the Product Development team, including hiring responsibility.

- Manages cost center expenses and budgeting, including participation in annual expense and capital budgeting cycles.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

- BS in Engineering, Physics, minimum. Masters degree or PhD preferred.

- Minimum of 8 years of working in semiconductor, acoustic filter, cellular communications, ATE, electronics instrument, or similar industry.

- Strong working knowledge of RF engineering principles.

- Familiarity with back-end semiconductor processes and mechanical engineering desired.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical management role.

- Demonstrated success mentoring junior team members. Demonstrated success working both independently and in a team environment.

- Willingness to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.
