Overview
The Aviation Logistics Center is the hub for the Coast Guard aviation support, which includes the missions of aviation depot level maintenance, structural engineering, spare parts warehousing, and information service needs. This site provides Aviation Logistics that enable Coast Guard mission execution, including: Depot Level Maintenance, Engineering, Supply, Procurement, and Information Services.
Responsibilities
Provides phone and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and other applications.
- May serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting network applications, and hardware/software PC and printer problems.
- Creates user accounts and troubleshoots user issues.
Qualifications
- US Citizen able to pass the required background check to hold a Homeland Security Clearance.
- IAT I certification (or higher) required within 60 days of joining the program. One of the following Certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE, SSCP (or higher). Employer will pay the certification costs.
- Two (2) years' experience in help desk support. Including one (1) year of experience includes knowledge of PC operating systems, e.g., DOS, Windows, as well as networking and mail standards and work on a help desk.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service attitude.
- Education: A.A./A.S. degree in related field. Two (2) years' experience is equivalent to one (1) year of education (i.e. four (4) years' experience is equivalent to an A.A/A.S.)
