Job Description:

The ACH Ops Specialist will be responsible processing for ACH transactions using various banking platforms within the governance of NACHA Rules and Guidelines. ACH Ops Specialist will maintain ACH GL accounts; implement ACH Risk Renewal and complete ACH research

Essential Job Duties

- Receive incoming Fed and customer origination transmissions throughout the day. (Can be up to 100 transmissions.) Further process files through BankWay host system

- Upload Positive Pay exception file

- Upload IAT files for OFAC scan

- Process outgoing origination entries to Fed

- Process exception and return items

- Monitor outgoing origination transactions to ensure no fraudulent activity has occurred

- Balance daily reports and reconcile various general ledger and checking accounts

- Handle Written Statements of Unauthorized Debit transactions and DNEs

- Assist with writing new job procedures and revising existing ones

- Assist in testing files for new originators

- Perform research and assist TM Support and TM Ops as needed

- Good understanding of NACHA Rules and Guidelines and various banking laws and regulations as they pertain to ACH and EFT

Minimum Qualifications

- BS/BA degree or 5+ years of relevant experience supporting back-office payments systems

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Quick learner. Must be able to understand and apply the rules and regulations of the ACH network

- Strong computer skills and a good understanding of an overall computer environment are necessary. Experience with Excel and MS Word preferred

- Good accounting skills for balancing and reconciling accounts

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

- Must be self-motivated and energetic

- Must be willing to learn specialized banking regulations and work with various bank and PC systems

- Ability to work flexible hour
