POSITION SUMMARY:

The Certified Surgical Technologist functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegated functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of two years' experience in multiple specialties working as a hospital or ambulatory surgery center surgical scrub tech.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from high school or equivalent program. Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Obtains and maintains certification from a nationally recognized certification board. Current basic life support certification. Complies with hospital employee health, infection control, and safety management programs.
