JOB SUMMARY: Beth Israel Lahey Health is a world-class integrated health system providing patients with better care wherever they are. Our 120,000 square foot facility in Westwood, MA, provides state of the art pharmacy services to our systems patients and employees. We specialize in patient-centered care, adherence packaging, specialty drug services, home delivery services, prior authorizations processing, and patient counseling. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced individual that will build and manage our inventory and logistics team. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service and become the pharmacy of choice for all our patients and employees. The Inventory and Logistics technician will be a member of the inventory team who supports the purchasing, stocking, replenishment and overall logistics for the BILH outpatient pharmacy network.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supports all BILH outpatient pharmacy networks with ordering, stocking, replenishing, and distributing medications.

* Provides supply chain and logistic support based upon business requirements.

* Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine par levels, anticipating need, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing expired drugs.

* Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

* Maintains records and logs(i.e. invoices).

* Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information.

* Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School diploma or GED required.

* Registration Pharm Tech Cert Board required., and Certificate 1 Certfied Pharmacy Technician required.

* 1-3 years related work experience required.

* Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Supply chain or inventory experience.

* 340B inventory experience.

* ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

* KNOWLEDGE: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.

* TEAM WORK: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.

* CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

PHYSICAL NATURE OF THE JOB:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus
