I. Job Summary

The Pricing function is a key strategic enabler within Waste Management that collaborates with all functions within the company to develop and execute pricing programs. This collaboration has helped Waste Management achieve financial success and industry leadership.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

- Serve as a strategic lead for key Pricing initiatives within the Area

- Evaluate and execute pricing strategies that will increase profitability for the Area based on customer level data analysis, market dynamics, and Area financial metrics

- Use financial models to evaluate profitability at the customer, route, line of business, and business unit levels, and effectively communicate and execute specific recommendations

- Serve as the Pricing lead on bid proposals and ad-hoc financial/pricing analysis projects

- Partner with Sales and Operations to identify, measure, and execute profitable growth and retention opportunities

- Partner with Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations to ensure that Pricing tools meet the strategic objectives of the Area

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties but will be asked to act as a team lead.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

* Required: Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in Business Administration or similar area of study, with three or more years of previous experience.

* Financial and statistical analysis experience is required.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

- None required

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

* Strong data analysis and financial modeling experience

* Prior pricing experience with multiple products

* Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to deliver formal presentations to a variety of audiences

* Prior experience working with sales, customer service, operations and finance teams

* Advanced Excel skills
