JOB TITLE: DELIVERY DRIVER

COMPANY: READING TRUCK EQUIPMENT

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: DRIVER COORDINATOR

LOCATION: WEST PALM BEACH, FL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for pick-up and delivery of customer vehicles promptly to customers and to other specific locations. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

We are a leading manufacturer, distributor and fleet sales expert of premium truck bodies with commercial upfit for vocational markets nationwide. We strive for a pioneering attitude and a focused commitment to innovation in all we do.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Report to main office daily to pick up itinerary for the day as well as any special instructions, paperwork, sun pass, gas cards etc.


  • Maintain communication with Driver Coordinator


  • Maintain communication with the Front Desk Coordinator


  • Assist in keeping vehicles tidy and in customer satisfaction care


  • Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs


  • Responsible for insuring required paperwork is delivered, signed and returned to main office

    QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Valid driver license


  • Minimum 1 year experience as Delivery Driver


  • Clean driving record


  • Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test


  • Strong customer service skills


  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:



  • Must be able to drive long distances ( within mid to south Florida)


  • Must be ok sharing a vehicle with other Drivers when using a chase vehicle
