OVERVIEW:

Lift Truck Operator are responsible for operating varied styles and models of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to transport, locate, relocate, stack, and load and unload finished goods, raw materials and other products within warehouse, inventory, and production areas. Lift Operators are expected to maneuver the PIT at a reasonable and prudent speed, watching closely for pedestrians or other motorized vehicles as well as fine manipulation with a respect to the preservation of product, building structure and property. Operating a lift truck is a specialized job that requires training and authorization by the company. The Operator is expected to have the mechanical knowledge and skills to operate a lift truck in a safe and professional manner under all conditions

All Hollander associates play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Associates may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to receive and maintain Hollander LTO license

- Ability to read, write and follow directions

While performing the duties of this job, the associate spends most of shift sitting or standing, using their hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and bending or twisting their body. Associate will also bend, squat stoop and lift (typically less than 50 lbs.), reach with hands and arms, balance, and maneuver around production equipment throughout the shift.

Operator is required to hear and see to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Manufacturing / Production Floor: While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however there may be areas designated as Hearing Protection required and provided earplugs are mandatory in those areas.

Not all areas of the plant and warehouse are climate controlled and exposure to heat and/or cold can occur. The Associate is frequently exposed to dust and floating particles used in the manufacturing, storage and inventory of raw materials and finished goods. EEO/Vet Disabled
