About The Job
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Mortgage Loan Sales Assistant in the Mortgage Department. If you are the chosen candidate you will perform a variety of duties to assist experienced loan originators including marketing efforts, administrative and clerical assistance, follow up and troubleshooting. Duties may also include assisting and qualifying potential borrowers by answering questions about the loan process, quoting rates, and taking applications.

Required Skills:

2-3 years of banking or lending experience including exposure to mortgage banking principles.

2-4 years of mortgage loan experience in origination and/or processing.

Demonstrated aptitude for sales and marketing as well as good organization skills.

Intermediate to advanced personal computer skills inclusive of applications such as Microsoft Office.

Varied level of problem solving skills.

Strong communication skills, persuasion, good judgement and professionalism.

Independent judgement to plan and carry out duties, as well as initiative and the ability to work independently.

NMLS registration number or ability to obtain one.
