About the Position
Senior Water and Wastewater Engineer | Williamsburg, Virginia
Responsibilities
- Design and oversight of Water and Wastewater system projects including pump station design
- Production of design reports, calculations, technical specifications and bid documents.
- Manage full spectrum of projects from conceptual design, preliminary engineering and detail design through approval and resident engineering during construction phase services and start up assistance.
- Design systems for municipal projects
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD®
- Proficiency in Hydraulic Modeling Software (WasterCAD, InfoWorks and InfoWater)
- Strong interpersonal, project and time management skills
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and customer service skills
- Self-starter who can identify and actively pursue solutions to diligently advance company or client objectives with minimal direction.
- Ability to take on new tasks and adapt to different work assignments and personalities.
- Ability to communicate openly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License (PE) required in Virginia (VA) with additional state licensure as a plus
- 15-20 years engineering experience with 7 or more years of complex Project Management experience
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline preferred
