- Organize and prioritize all activities associated with conducting clinical and operational research studies within a military setting.

- Review and understand protocol, ensuring applicable regulations, and guidelines are followed.

- Coordinate space and supplies with appropriate personnel.

- Recruit volunteers for the studies, to include determining volunteer population availability, advertising venues, and discussions with potential volunteers via telephone or e-mail.

- Volunteer advocate and associated duties.

- Test article accountability and administration.

- Documentation, to include gathering, preparing and maintaining appropriate information per applicable FDA regulations and ICH guidelines, source and case report forms, participant rosters, SOPs, etc.

- Enter required data on CRFs and audit records for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, correct as necessary.

- Coordinate with external and internal monitors, additionally maintain compliance with specific protocol, SOPs, regulations and guidelines.

- Assist in training research staff on protocol-related study methods.

- Monitor study data collection procedures to ensure uniformly high levels of compliance with Good Clinical Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and any additional FDA-, other government- or locally-required.

- Computer literate to create forms, reports, etc.

- Other duties as assigned.

- Provide technical assistance to ICON GPHS Headquarters as needed and participate on proposal writing projects when requested.

- Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.

- Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

Candidates for positions under ICON Government and Public Health Solutions contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) may be required to pass one or more background/security investigations conducted by the DoD, U.S. Army, or other Federal Government agency.Qualifications

Experience
2 years: Clinical Trials experience (required)
Direct nursing experience desired, preferably in an ER setting, ICU, or stand alone clinic setting. (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities; knowledge of applicable highly complex scientific procedures and techniques relating to position. (preferred)
Physical Capabilities: work may involve long periods of standing and handling of numerous chemicals and/or hazardous biological material. (preferred)
Certification in Clinical Research Coordination by Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) preferred, or commitment to sit for exam during first year of employment. (preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS -CPR/AED) certification. (preferred)
