Summary:

The role of the Sr. DataStage Developer is to provide trained resources for all Data Services needs of the organization. CNSI has ETL resources that provide Data Conversion services, Architects that provide Data Modelling services and PL/SQL resources that provide backend solutioning and support. Working remotely within the United States is acceptable for this position.

What You Will Do:

- Responsible for all aspects of data migration under the guidance / direction of CNSI's Data Conversion practice specialists.

- Prepare data conversion requirements / design and facilitate development, testing, and execution.

- Participate in meetings and discussions with functional/technical leads to understand the requirements and work out the conversion blueprint(s).

- Support the data conversion team in data analysis leveraging legacy data sets and provide the results of the analysis on a proactive basis to the client / internal teams to help accelerate legacy data corrections and/or formalization of business rules for effective data migration.

- Participate as an integrator and be able to engage and facilitate discussions between the client and the 'core' data conversion / application / backend / database administration teams.

- Maintain data conversion development standards leveraging CNSI's best practices.

- Support the conversion / migration team in the proper unit testing of conversion artifacts to ensure smooth transition to System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

- Participate in technical / functional reviews and ensure the conversion artifacts comply with CNSI's Data Conversion standards and practices.

- Interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.

- Present technical analysis to internal and external clients.

Who You Are:

- You have a Bachelor's degree in one of the following preferred majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

- You have 2 - 7 years of hands-on experience performing data migrations of mainframe and relational data, including identifying and analyzing source data, transforming source data into the required format, loading the transformed data into the target system and validating all source data is tracked and transformed.

- You have 4 - 7 years of hands on experience with DataStage as a tool for data migrations.

- You have hands on experience with Oracle as a RDBMS.

- You have experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).

- You have experience working closely with other developers to integrate databases with other applications.

- If you have a Certification in DataStage, it would be 'a plus'.
