Overview
The IT Citrix/Virtual Workspace Architect is accountable for creating the Citrix/Virtual Workspace strategy for Independent Health and its affiliates. The Citrix/Virtual Workspace Architect is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing IT related projects such as building out new data center(s), patching activities and security application support for a variety of business and IT users. Specifically, the IT Citrix/Virtual Workspace Architect will be accountable for IT support and procedural services related to our hypervisors, storage, enterprise server provisioning, vulnerability management, encryption management, data loss prevention, multi-factor authentication and overall environment performance and service level agreements to ensure the service providers are delivering the expected service.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree required. Information Technology discipline preferred. An additional four (4) years of experience in information technology may be considered in lieu of degree.

Five (5) years of experience in IT required, to include one (1) year of preferred vendor management experience. System administrator or support services experience preferred.

Two (2) years of progressive leadership/management responsibility required

Proven ability to navigate and work on both on premise, remote and cloud-based infrastructure.

Proven ability in incident management, problem management and escalation.
-
Demonstrates project management skills including identification of resources, creation of project and implementation plans and expected deliverables.

Detailed knowledge of IT software such as monitoring and service management tools.
-
Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate at a professional level with all levels of the organization.
-
Initiates self-directed learning opportunities, identifies applicability and demonstrates use of the acquired skills.
-
Ability to learn and support a rapidly changing environment.
-
Advanced user level or administrator experience in at least two of CyberArk, Varonis, anti-virus tools, data loss prevention tools, encryption tools, cloud access security broker tools, multi-factor authentication tools, or identify and access management tools.

Aptitude and desire to investigate and understand emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to solve business problems.

Demonstrates understanding and experience with vulnerability management and identify and access management.

Ability to work outside of core business hours which may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Demonstrated knowledge of change management and surrounding policies and procedures.
-
Experience working in a regulated environment with familiarity with HIPAA, COBIT and ITIL.

Essential Accountabilities
-
Manage the day-to-day operations of Independent Health and its affiliates IT servers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair
-
Respond to alerts that are raised for IT hardware and software that is experiencing failures

Assume responsibility for troubleshooting and correcting problems that are reported by users and by IT monitoring systems

Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations
-
Assist Service Desk on escalated tickets pertaining to servers, network, storage and other issues that may arise including remote sites

Manage IT projects end to end including vendor coordination, scheduling and testing
-
Provide operational support for the VMware platform and infrastructure components
-
Follow-up and document company services (systems/applications/procedures) as they evolve

Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction

Handle issues always focusing on continuous improvement: automate, educate, and share knowledge transparently

Manages vendor provided enterprise server provisioning which includes hardening, gold images, life cycle management, patching and monitoring.

Adheres to a vulnerability management strategy where IH aggressively patches and establishes yearly goals with IRO to continuously improve our risk position.
