The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha - that was launched in 2019.

Title:                           Product Specialist I (College Hire – Entry Level)

Department:               Product Development

Reports To:               Team Lead

FLSA Status:             Exempt

Summary:

Work as a member of a Scrum team to assist in executing the overall quality plan for one of Charles River’s products. Provide support and assistance to customers, team members, and other teams within Charles River.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks of limited scope and complexity under the direction of more senior staff including test plan authoring, test execution, test curation, and other quality responsibilities of the team


• Assist with the creation of comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents


• Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests


• Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing


• Document software defects in the issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members


• Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews as part of the agile methodology


• Adhere to a testing schedule to ensure efficient and effective product delivery

Qualifications:   

• Ability to execute test cases, scripts and use automated test tools for testing client/server applications


• Ability to develop quality test plans


• Ability to work well with peers in a team environment


• Effective written and verbal communication
