What success looks like in this role:

This is a remote based position.

Position Overview:
* As the Presales Solution Architect, you will be instrumental in crafting a winning technical solution that tightly aligns with our customer's desired outcomes, industry best practices, Unisys portfolio offerings and emerging innovative technologies.
* As a key member of the sales pursuit team, you will be principally responsible for developing, architecting and presenting business / technical roadmaps to meet client needs in Cloud, Datacenter, End User, Security, Field Services in support of multi-dimensional customer IT outsourcing initiatives.
* You will be part of a win oriented team of presales professionals that work together in designing solutions and delivering corporate growth results. You will participate in the full solution and roadmap development cycle, while interacting closely with Sales to hone our solution and messaging to the prospective customer.
* You will draw upon the consulting and domain expertise of the global Unisys organization, and actively engage with Solution Management, field sales teams and clients in the development of new and expanded client revenue streams. You will be a recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, or techniques. Providing innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting multiple disciplines and work groups. You will determine and pursue courses of action essential in accomplishing objectives and integrating advanced technology, theories or techniques that have a significant continued impact across disciplines and business units.

Responsibilities:
* To win! As a member of the presales team, this position requires a burning desire to best our competition and bring home the deal for Unisys through the development of well-articulated, value laden and compelling business solutions.
* Understand client business goals and outcomes and aligns the company solutions to client's end to end architectural framework.
* Discovers, identifies and articulates previously unrecognized business value opportunities provided to client through scope, approach, metrics, billing and other changes.
* Ensures innovation is repeatable and contributes this collateral to the solutioning community through appropriate forums.
* Identifies any repeating risks and initiates programs to address, engaging leadership across all necessary disciplines.
* Defines repeatable solutions, cross-business unit solutions, taking strategic view, optimizing the enterprise solution and considering in the solutions the required industry specific needs.
* Ensures detailed solution and architectural framework are aligned throughout pursuit lifecycle unit.



You will be successful in this role if you have:
Education and Experience
* First level and advanced university degree plus.
* Strong alliance to Google Cloud, AWS, Azure and other progressive cloud/container vendors is a requirement.
* 7-10+ years directly related cloud, datacenter and virtualization strategy experience.
* Typically 5-7+ years experience working in a presales or solution selling organization with global experience.
* Cloud transformation as part of sales pursuits
* Demonstrates expert knowledge across a wide range of outsourcing services and solutions.
* Understands CXO issues and solution alternatives and is comfortable interacting with them individually or as a part of a broader sales team.
* Expert in emerging solutions, roadmap and the business applications of technology.
* Recognized thought leadership both internally and externally.
* Expert knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products and services portfolio.
* Develops best practices for innovative financial models in outsourcing services that bring long term business value to customer solutions.
* Strategic view of Total Cost of Ownership.
* Recognized industry expertise and experience.
* At least one Microsoft, CISCO or Cloud certification credential
* CISSP or other security credential preferred
