Job Description:

Parexel has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Director to join our global Medical Communications team. The Account Director in MedCom will lead an account team, and is responsible for developing and managing client relationships for assigned accounts/therapeutic areas. In this role you will maximize revenues and profitability within your designated accounts, gain knowledge of product messages and marketing strategy, identify areas for account growth and new business opportunities while developing innovative and strategic solutions to meet client needs.

Client Relationship Management
Maintain high visibility within the client organization; cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and ensure that client is aware of our full range of capabilities
Develop in-depth knowledge of the client organization, product messages, and marketing strategy
Able to lead product strategy discussions and communication plan meetings with client team
Demonstrate commercial thought leadership in key therapy areas
Identify client issues, clarify client needs and objectives, and understand how each project adds value
Manage accounts and clients proactively to ensure that MedCom meets client expectations, and provide a quality, added value service in a cost-effective manner
Monitor client satisfaction by communicating regularly with customer
Team Leadership
Line management of direct reports to include annual performance and development reviews and implementation of training and development requirements
Build and maintain cross-site/team/service function relationships and sharing of best practice and resource
Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modelling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced, and objective manner
Cascade communication within the team through team meetings, providing department/business updates, and monitoring and engagement/morale of team members
Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and feedback and act as role model to team members
Business Development
Actively prospect and leverage potential business opportunities within specified client account(s)
Accountable for $3-5M revenue business delivered per FY, from single or multiple accountsQualificationsQualified candidates will possess:

10+ years experience in delivering client solutions in a medical communications agency setting

New business development/sales experience an advantage
