We are hiring a Control Technician to work out of our Specific Manufacturing Capability (SMC) Complex, commonly referred to as Test Area North (TAN). This individual will join a supportive team while providing meaningful work that directly protects the employees at SMC. They will work a 4x10 schedule located approximately one hour from Idaho Falls.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work on SMC equipment and facilities using LWP-6200 and ISMS functions and principles. (TS0400 -- This is a skilled, fully proficient journeyman electrical position or electronics technician), where the individual is expected to have basic experience and skills, especially automated manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, electronic equipment, control equipment, and facilities.

* Apply skills to learning and maintaining the equipment that is unique to SMC. Must be able to read drawings, prints and schematics.

* Provide leadership by being Person-In-Charge (PIC) on work packages and performing Pre-Job Briefings on a regular basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* TS0400 -- Six years relevant experience, or Vocational Certificate and four years experience.

* Strong industrial electrical and electronic background. With meaningful experience in automated manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, electronic equipment, control equipment, and facilities.

* Electrical Journeyman's License preferred, but not required
