Job Summary

The Electronics Technician Maintenance will support a large DoD maintenance contract for electronic security and other network-based communications and surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will be able to follow written maintenance procedures, document results, troubleshoot equipment failures, coordinate with customer representatives, manage time to accomplish required tasks, and maintain professional communication habits, and will also be familiar using a tablet or computer to access system and trouble ticket records and enter data.

Specific Responsibilities

-

Maintains, cleans, and repairs equipment, cabling, computers, servers and rack equipment, and power supplies.

-

Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains in efficient operating condition a wide variety of devices, infrastructure, and mechanical equipment designed for use in security applications at US DoD facilities.

Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

Experience and Education

-

5+ years of experience with technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode.

Experience or certification in one or more of the following is preferred:

Access Control Systems - Lenel, Vindicator, AMAG

-

Video Management/Surveillance Systems - Milestone, Bosch, Axis, Pelco

-

Intrusion Detection Systems - DMP

-

Network switches and copper / fiberoptic infrastructure and connectors

-

Mass Notification / PA systems - Federal Signal

-

Automated Vehicle Gates/Barriers, Pedestrian gates / turnstiles

-

Land Mobile Radio

-

Operations / Dispatch Centers

-

Video Walls or other A/V equipment

-

Physical Security Information Management (PSIM)

-

Experience with following test procedures or system design plans / schematics is preferred.
