Job Description:

Clinical Manager of Cardiovascular Procedures Unit

Responsible for daily and overall operation of assigned units, including staff performance, patient care processes and outcomes, patient/family satisfaction, and prudent resource management.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Oregon or satisfactory completion of formal specific training in the approved Imaging Technology program, as relevant to assigned modality with current registration by the State of Oregon

Registered Nurse:


  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon

  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 60-day grace period

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 90-day grace period

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • Specialty certification in area of responsibility preferred

Radiology Technician:


  • Satisfactory completion of formal specific training in the approved Imaging Technology Program, as relevant to assigned modality (Copy of academic degree/transcript required upon hire if performing Moderate Complexity Testing)

  • Requires current registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtain within 90 days of hire

  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon date of hire

  • Current ARRT (R)

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • Additional advanced certification preferred

EXPERIENCE


  • Five years’ experience in acute care hospital in past 10 years

  • Two years managerial or leadership experience in past 5 years

  • Two years’ experience with cardiovascular procedures in a cardiac catheterization lab required

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently

  • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs

  • Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision

  • Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects

  • Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair

  • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds

  • Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids

  • Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone

  • Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment
