Job Description:

Collects objective patient data, provides patient care and comfort measures within scope of practice for a CNA2 and as assigned by a licensed nurse. Reports observations of patient and outcome of data-gathering and care activities to licensed nurse. Documents appropriately in medical record.

Part-Time (40 Hours Per /pay Period)
Shift: 2300-0730 Days: Varied
Wages Based Upon Experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
•Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
•Able to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
•Deals effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
•Maintains confidentiality
•Provides care that is appropriate to and respectful of patient’s age, culture, and spiritual needs
•Strong priority-setting and organizational skills
•Excellent telephone skills
•Recognizes and reports abnormal occurrences
•Knows the fire plan and escape routes for patient and self

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
•Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 in the State of Oregon
•American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) or be must obtained by the last day of the month after the 60-day grace period
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE
•Effective communication skills both verbally and written
•Experience in acute care hospital as a CNA2 within the past two years preferred
•One year experience in unit secretary role in a hospital preferred
