Job Description:

We have two Quality Technician positions that we are currently recruiting to fill both within our Special Purpose Vehicles group. The position on first shift will work 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday. The second shift position will work four 10 hour days Monday through Thursday. In either of these two positions you will be responsible for conducting testing procedures during the manufacturing process to ensure that products comply with quality standards. These positions inspect components before assembly, analyzes trial products during development, or tests finished goods. During these processes, the Technician records and analyzes the results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.The qualified candidate will possess a high school diploma or better and the following: • A stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.• Experience in manufacturing capacity assembling and operating machines, using test equipment and gauges (e.g. calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc.), and knowledge of Quality systems.• Knowledge of metrology, GD&T, Blueprints, Measuring Techniques, Calibrations, Traceability, Quality Standards and ISO Standards.• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.• Demonstrated basic statistical knowledge.• Possesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one's skills. Familiarity with problem solving techniques (e.g. 5 why, Fishbone diagrams, Shainin Red X, Six Sigma, etc.)• Possesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.• Position requires the ability to work flexible hours and required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods.• Experience working with large ERP systems (SAP preferred).• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).• Demonstrated ability to maintain excellence and accuracy in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.• Ability to effectively communicate technical information in one-on-one & small group situations to Customers, clients, & others.• Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.• Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.• Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.• Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.It is thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America's policy to recruit, hire, and promote qualified personnel in all job classifications without regard to race, creed, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, national origin, disability or veteran status.
