Job Description:

General Responsibilities: Transport guest luggage to/from guest rooms. Escort guests to rooms and inform guests of all hotel services and features. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities. Drive, park and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel, courteously, safely and efficiently according to the hotel's standards.

Qualifications (Essential):


  •  Valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent driving record as dictated by Corporate Risk Management.

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.

  • Ability to provide legible written communication.

  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

Essential Functions: (Include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned.)


  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of:

a) All hotel facilities/services, hours of operation.

b) Daily house counts and number of arrivals/departures.

c) All guest room layouts, bed types, décor, appointments and locations.

d) Entertainment/meetings/special events scheduled in hotel.


  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Set up workstation with necessary supplies and resource materials; maintain cleanliness of area.

  • Review logbook to learn daily business activity and work assignments.

  • Inspect vehicle for damage; document all damage properly according to guidelines.

  • Ensure proper working condition of beepers and radios; report malfunctions to supervisor.

  • Maintain guest security.

  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needed to Engineering and follow up on completion.

  • Obey all traffic and driving regulations.

  • Remain on scheduled route at all times.

  • Ensure safety of all passengers and their belongings.

  • Complete transportation log.

  • Communicate any delays, problems and passenger needs with the hotel by radio, using proper codes.

  • Load/unload passengers’ luggage.

  • Maintain conversation with passengers.

  • Follow designated procedures for vehicle breakdowns and accidents.

  • Answer vehicle telephone with appropriate greeting and etiquette.

  • Handle guest complaints by ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Ensure confidentiality of all passenger information and conversations.

  • Ensure security of vehicle keys.

  • To drive and park Guest vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Park vehicle in designated location when not in use.

  • Retrieve hotel packages and designated items as needed.
