Job Summary:
The Junior Interior Designer will work as part of a project team to implement a comprehensive design package from the initial stages of client programming to project close-out. Perform interior design assignments that include assistance in programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Provides technical expertise to coworkers and contractors and routinely coordinates with facilities, engineers, architects, and other designers to ensure compliance with government regulations and facility design criteria.
Responsibilities:
· Manages an interior design file system that includes drawings, specifications, budgets, project information, government contracts, requests for interior design services
· Participate in the recommendation, selection, and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
· Perform submittal reviews in coordination with assigned project manager
· Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
· Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
· Coordinate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
