Job Description:
Wisconsin Steel & Tube Corporation in Manitowoc, WI is looking for a Quality Inspector for a 1st shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Support the company quality objectives, policies and mission.
- Performs and records inspections results.
- Audit processes for compliance to system and good work habits.
- Interpret and log data through Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Interprets engineering drawings for inspection processes i.e. inspection plans.
- Assist with quality training on inspection equipment, policies and procedures.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues.
- Support and control non-conforming materials and procedures.
- Assist with ISIR, PPAP, and capability studies.
- Ability to Support ISO 9001:2015 practices and procedures across workforce.
- Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of work.
- Support inventory accuracy. Reporting non-conforming to supervisors.
- Work with purchasing on mill returns/credits.
- Assists with customer returns on material dispositions.
- Work with Precision Metrology on annual calibrations.
- Review all cut orders and attach prints and inspection sheets.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position or otherwise related experience
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
