SUMMARY

The Operations Lead is the entry position in the front line leadership ranks of ASG's Manufacturing Operation. Under the leadership of the Manager, Manufacturing ASG, this role will support the operation's process to satisfy customer demands for Toyota vehicle accessories. In addition to the standard production duties and the day-to-day support of the business, the Operations Lead will 1) Support daily manufacturing operations to maximize quality and throughput while maintaining the highest safety standards. 2) Work with various departments within Operations to gain an overall knowledge of company's operations and processes. 3) Employ foundational leadership competency to enhance cross-functional coordination, expand internal communications, and develop operations associates. 4) Lead special projects related to production improvements such as ERP, MES, Lean Manufacturing, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reliable, consistent, on-site attendance is a requirement. This position requires punctuality and dependable attendance in order to meet the needs of the business; including attending and participating in meetings and presentations.

- Responsible for coordinating and ensuring process start-up and control manufacturing operation of multiple product lines including: leading daily stand-up production meetings detailing daily and weekly goals by line.

- Discuss safety and quality topics/targets and production issue identification, detailing issue with the team and resolves problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

- Responsible for performing production operations due to outages or other impacts to productions.

- In partnership with Manager, Manufacturing, supports the associates to ensure goals are met i.e. Safety, Quality, throughput, and productivity through routine audits/checks.

- Works closely with Manager, Manufacturing to ensure training plan is executed and amended as needed.

- Works closely with the support functions as a point of contact for the building to work on special projects related to continuous improvement, lean, 5-S, or any other project assigned.

- Works closely with Purchasing Manager ensuring the proper parts/materials are readily available for associates throughout the month.

- Displays commitment to the safety and quality culture by regular hands-on interaction with associates.

- Partner and Communicate effectively within and across departments.

- Resolves problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

- Promotes the company's core values, culture and vision.

- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.

- Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.

- Other duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one-year experience in an applicable role (i.e. production, repair center, quality or training) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to maintaining strict confidentially and handle sensitive information

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

- Ability to operate office equipment such as copy machines, fax machines, personal computers, scanners and other office machinery

- Excellent Organization, Prioritization Skills and the ability to multitask

- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

- Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision with some latitude for independent judgement

- Ability and desire to work with new and changing technologies and processes.

- Strong ability to manage and complete projects simultaneously and under deadlines

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS*

- Valid driver's license required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral English instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively discuss information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
