Objective

To execute the compliance program of Hatch Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Firstrust Bank, and to execute the bank's policies and procedures to comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations and to minimize regulatory/legal exposure. Execution of specific duties regarding but not limited to review of vendor and customer contract documentation including insurance coverages; new product development; review of new products and processes for regulatory, legal and other business risks as well as research in support thereof; monitoring and oversight of Bank's strategic partnerships; development and management of all bank policies as well as the bank's compliance management system; the analysis, interpretation and distribution of information regarding new or revised laws and/or regulations

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Conduct compliance testing of the bank's programs.
2. Review marketing material to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Review and respond to customer complaints.
4. Conduct transaction monitoring as part of bank's BSA/AML program.
5. Prepare reports related to the bank's different programs, including testing results, complaints, training, issue management, and reports for other areas as requested.
6. Develop and/or revise compliance policies and procedures.
7. Analyze pending, new, or current laws and regulations that directly affect the bank's practices to ensure compliance with regulations.
8. Support the administration of the bank's CMS, BSA/AML & CIP program personnel education/training, contract and insurance functions etc.
9. Prepare and review projects and reports related to laws and regulations as requested.
10. Provide information regarding new and/or updated regulatory changes and provide support to staff to promote their proper implementation of regulatory changes.
11. Interface with bank examiners and auditors (internal and external).
12. Keep current with legislation and developments that impact the bank's operations.
13. Provide support other areas as directed.

Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer terminal with repetitive motion. Physical requirements of this position are considered sedentary work involving preparing documentation, preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and resolving inquiries. Some amount of mobility in order to access files, attend meetings, both on and off site, and perform property inspections is necessary. The employee is expected to converse with internal and external customers and exchange information.

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years compliance experience in banking or financial services
* Superior verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Experience interfacing with examiners and auditors
* Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* CRCM Certification (American Bankers Association)
* CAMS Certification (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists)
* Experience with strategic partnerships / credit sponsorships and vendor compliance oversight
* Experience drafting and updating bank-wide compliance policies
* Experience managing a BSA/AML program
