Are you looking for a role where your work can make a real difference in people's lives? The Avamere Family of companies provides a comprehensive continuum of post-acute care and senior living settings to help seniors with a range of healthcare needs and post-retirement options. We are looking for a Director of Enterprise Applications who will play a leadership role in the organization. This is an individual contributor role now but could evolve into a management role in the future.

Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

Responsibilities will include:
Find optimal technology solutions for the enterprise by:
- Partner with business leaders across the organization to understand their strategies and how information technology can support them
- Mapping out the enterprise architecture
- Working with the infrastructure delivery team to understand the constraints
- Working with vendors to understand the possibilities … and costs
- Working with senior leadership to understand the resources available
- Work with business leaders, the infrastructure team, SW Engr and vendors to land, manage and maximize business value of information technology solutions.
- Establish and manage a process of ongoing business reviews ensuring alignment

You will need to:
- Have a strong background analyzing, reimagining and rearchitecting enterprise architecture
- Have a deep and broad understanding of enterprise information technology
- Be skilled at working with business leaders and understanding their business process and issues
- Be skilled at working with external vendors
- Hire and manage a small team of professionals
- Work effectively with system analysts within the business divisions

Required skills:
- 4+ years in similar role
- Leadership skills - drive change agenda
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Technical chops
- Ability to create and lead effective cross-functional teams
- Diligent and able to follow through on commitments - strong project management skills
- Good business acumen
- Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
- Understanding IT processes (SDLC, ITIL, etc.)
- BS in technical field

Desired skills:
- Background in security (e.g. CISSP)
- Strong business skills (e.g. MBA)
- Healthcare experience
