Position Description

As an integral component of the sales team, the Clinical Consultant will work to drive growth and expand adoption in targeted accounts for QuantiFERON and other QIAGEN products. This will include evaluating current guidelines and providing clinical education to increase awareness and adoption for current and new customers. The Clinical Consultant role is to drive growth in base accounts, maintain existing customers and work with the QuantiFERON Hospital Specialist to create new revenue opportunities.

- Grow Base Business and Create New Revenue Opportunities

- Territory Management. Create strategic plans to increase adoption in existing accounts and implement retention plans for critical accounts

- Provide formal and informal clinical presentations which require training of multiple personnel and overlapping multiple shifts.

- Operate within the hospital environment at a clinical, lab and administrative level across departmental silos. Focus Areas: CMO, CNO, Executive Suites, Infectious Disease/Control, Risk Management, Administration, Hospitalist, Employee Health, Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Human Resources, Pulmonology, Pharmacy, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, HIV, Transplant

- Develop strategy for successful customer on-boarding, implementation and adoption.

- Analyze financial data on a consistent basis for areas of decline and growth. Provide summaries and work with representatives and management team to create account strategies to drive growth.

Position Requirements

- Four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university is required (Nursing associate degree with accompanying RN certification from an accredited program may be acceptable with non-nursing bachelor degree)

- Minimum of four (4) years Industry experience

- Current licensed Registered Nurse in state of residence

- Strong Presentation skills

- Experience in sales, preferably in the hospital division of pharmaceutical sales or in vitro medical diagnostics industry

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of Laboratory workflow and fiscal operations

- Knowledge of medical institution hierarchy

- Territory: West Region (Ideally based in California, near a major airport).
