DESCRIPTION SHIFT: Days (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time

SPOTSYLVANIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER is a 133-bed facility that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, women's services, orthopedic, cardiac care and behavioral health services. Our surgical services include robotic-assisted technology, allowing our surgeons to operate with the tiniest incisions and with greater vision, precision and control.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

* Ensure that appropriate portion of Outpatient and Inpatient nursing assessment of patient is completed, standard of care initiated and all necessary consent forms are signed.

* Initiates/documents preoperative and discharge planning and patient teaching involving patient/significant other.

* Assures all lab work, EKG, and x-rays are obtained, and initiates the PAT Protocol and initiates completion of chart.
* Shows the ability to be flexible by working in other areas of Surgical Services as needed such as PACU and taking call with a PACU staff nurse as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:
Required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred B.S.N. degree or currently enrolled in B.S.N. program.
LICENSURE:

Required Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Virginia.
Required AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS for Healthcare Providers.
EXPERIENCE:

Required Current Virginia License
Preferred One year experience in area of clinical expertise to which applying.
