* Responsible for the distribution of all incoming chemical materials to the Chemical Biology and Therapeutics Department.

* Responsible for the entry of chemical information and container barcodes into the electronic inventory control system.

* Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the inventory database, including reconciling the actual location of chemical materials within a lab to the location indicated in the database, updating inventory locations, and ensuring that the contents of inventory containers are properly described in the corresponding database records.

* Ensures that handling of chemical materials comply with all Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other local, state and federal agency regulations.

* Bachelor's degree in a chemical or related scientific field required. Knowledge of chemical nomenclature, chemical structures, and familiarity with chemical supply catalogs is required

* Two years of related experience, which must include experience in shipping hazardous chemicals or dangerous goods, is required. Experience with barcode tracking is required. Experience working with vendor returns and obtaining Return Goods Authorization (RGA) numbers is required

* Hazardous Goods Shipping certification from the Department of Transportation required. Certification must be renewed every two (2) years
