We are hiring our next Performance Assurance Analyst/Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Practitioner to join the team at our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR). This individual will work a 4x10 schedule that is currently remote due to COVID-19.

Responsibilities include:

*

Reporting operational performance and effectiveness against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to organizational leadership at ATR. * Assist organizational leadership with development of critical metrics with established control limits and monitor organizational performance against these metrics. Inform leadership when out of control limit trends are noted and compile status reports.

* Serve as the Issues Management Coordinator for the assigned organization which includes leading issue screening teams, ensuring issues are tracked in the INL issues management system (LabWay), and analyzing issues for notable trends that could impact mission accomplishment of the organization.

* Support the ATR Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) in development and tracking of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) through closure and effectiveness evaluations/reviews if applicable/required.

* Participate in event critiques and causal analyses.

* Applying HPI concepts, policies, procedures, principles, performance model and system approach for reducing human error that could result in significant unwanted outcomes. Collaborate with mission and organizational personnel along with other INL HPI practitioners on organizational team activities/investigations and determines methodologies to reduce the seriousness of events and lessen impact of error.

* Utilize expertise and knowledge to integrate HPI into ATR s culture/ systems/ programs/activities complex-wide and work with management, employees, and subcontractors (when necessary). Conduct HPI event investigations to identify hidden latent deficiencies' in management control processes and potential human error contributors. Investigations are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Present results to management team. Assists in meeting HPI Laboratory objectives and principles in achieving lab-level HPI strategies, goals and behaviors in reducing human error.

* Serve as a resource to assist management in reviewing significant organizational issues and providing context as well as providing problem solutions. Support long-range organizational goals and objectives. Review work through consultation and/or agreement with others.

* Bachelors plus 2-5 years relevant experience OR Advanced degree plus 1-3 years OR 10-13 years education/experience in lieu of a degree.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Relevant experience includes technical experience in DOE or Commercial Reactors, Hazard Category 1, 2, or 3 nuclear facility operations, testing, and maintenance.

* Human Performance Improvement experience is preferred.

* Project management experience preferred.

* Demonstrated innovative/creative contributions during their working experience implementing HPI.

* Demonstrated experience in HPI training.
