Talent Acquisition Manager- High Volume Hiring at Cognizant

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic leader to join the Cognizant Talent Acquisition team. Cognizant is a Fortune 500 organization with over 285,000 employees. This is a full-time role and provides a full slate of benefits from Day 1 of employment in addition to a competitive salary. This is a 100% remote role. Flexibility to travel for Recruiting events in the future will be required. This position reports to the Associate Director of Recruitment and will lead a team that manages upwards of 1,000 hires per year.

 

Job Description and Responsibilities:


  •  The incumbent will be responsible for the following:


    • Provide second line of leadership to the team including managing 5-10 Recruiters, strategy mapping and requisition allocation

    • Manage large ramp ups of 25 or more resources, including planning, road mapping, setting milestones, ongoing progress tracking and executing it to completion within defined timelines

    • Manage a Requisition load of 5-10 strategic roles at various levels as required

    • Coach Recruiters, provide ongoing feedback for improvement and course correct as necessary to maintain optimal Recruiter performance. Perform quarterly and yearly appraisals for 5-10 Recruiters

    • Undertake performance improvement conversations and design and execute performance improvement plans when necessary

    • Manage stakeholder expectations and report progress for an assigned set of Practices within the Digital Operations Practice, via monthly reports, quarterly business reviews and meetings

    •  Run strategic Recruiting programs for various locations in the US as required

    • Evaluate external tools and methodologies for viability and make recommendations to Leadership

    • Effect change on systems and processes to improve Recruiter productivity and to optimize recruiting bandwidth utilization

    • Act as the liaison for the offshore Recruiting team and manage partnerships with specialized vendors

    • Forge relationships with communities within defined cities and locations through job fairs, diversity initiatives, military bases, associations and special interest groups etc.  




  •   Required Attributes, Competencies. Skills, Experience & Education


    • 4 year degree from an accredited US college or university

    • 10+ years of experience recruiting and managing teams hiring for non-exempt roles at various levels. Experience must also include hiring for exempt roles

    • Experience interfacing with business stakeholders at VP and above

    • Must have experience managing teams that hired over 1,000 resources per year

    • Experience with performance appraisals, quarterly check-ins, performance management and executing performance improvement plans

    • Must have  a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a multinational corporation, managing a team of 5 or more full-time Recruiters in a multi-location, multi-disciplinary setting

    • Strong leadership skills including ability to make swift, concrete decisions with minimal information at their disposal, motivate and inspire the team to stay focused on short term and medium term goals and lead by example with discipline, integrity and a solution oriented approach

    • Experience working in a global setting, partnering with stakeholders within and outside North America

    • Experience running Recruiting campaigns using various traditional and social media based platforms

    • In-depth understanding of macro and micro trends in the business and recruiting world

    • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and thoughts to senior leadership in a meaningful, transparent fashion in verbal and written form

    • Experience managing complex offers and negotiations

    • Excellent reporting, analysis and data presentation skills. Ability to translate raw data into dashboards, metrics and meaningful reports

    • Thorough understanding of at least one Applicant Tracking System, Compliance policies and Reporting methodologies



 

Reporting Structure:

This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Recruitment (CDO)
