Position Description:

The Transportation Applications Analyst helps our company ship steel efficiently by maintaining and supporting the company’s logistics software, Oracle Transportation Module (OTM). This position has three components: troubleshooting issues with the software, finding new and better ways to use the software, and reporting on the information housed in the software. Starting pay of $55k - $60k annual depending on experience.

What are the Primary Responsibilities?

• Create and maintain strong relationships with business unit(s)


• Develop an in-depth understanding of OTM and the transportation needs of the business


• Act as the first point of contact for all inquiries about OTM


• Assist end-users and troubleshoot OTM-related issues


• Identify and propose ways to reconfigure OTM so that it meets business needs


• Help design, test, plan, and implement all changes to OTM


• Provide go-live planning, support, and training to personnel affected by OTM changes


• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve gaps between business requirements and the software’s capabilities


• Use analytics software to report on, model, and analyze OTM data

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to spending long periods of time at a computer


• 0 to 50% travel as required

• B.A. in Business, MIS, or related field or 3 years of relevant work experience
