Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler exists to support the objectives of the plant and assigned areas in managing the 24/7 planning and scheduling of the craft personnel and maintenance work throughout the facility.

Plan, organize, coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks, plant projects or project assignments utilizing in-house maintenance personnel, outside contractors or venders. Position includes but is not limited to: 1) project lay-out/scope of work; 2) purchase of needed parts and /or materials from bill-of-material; 3) basic specification and design and development of prints; 4) submittal of contract bids for quote and award; 5) project and contracted service oversight, i.e. project leader. The primary objective of the Maintenance Planner position is to facilitate daily work assignments and projects for maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure the tasks are performed to high quality standards and in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE:

• Provide detailed, daily schedules, step-by-step plans and equipment outage schedules Gantt charts which will allow efficient completion of work.

• Provide support in execution of schedules.

• Revise schedules as needed based on equipment availability.

• Estimate plan, and order all work performed by craft personnel and contractors in a cost-effective manner.

• Serve as liaison, coordinator and project leader between maintenance (mechanical and electrical), production, supply chain, support services, contractors and engineering personnel.

• Serve as a technical resource and backfill for other maintenance planners or schedulers

• Provide detailed, step-by-step plans, parts, and materials to the Crafts, schedulers, kitters, Shift Coordinators and contractors which will allow them to efficiently complete their work.

• Schedule and plan all work performed in a cost-effective manner.

• Provide detailed, daily scheduled, step-by-step plans and equipment outage schedules Gantt charts which will allow efficient completion of work.

• Assist in determining work priorities through discussions with maintenance, engineering, production leadership and contractors.

• Own, manage, and monitor department maintenance work orders, project assignments, Bill of Materials, and other metrics to allow prompt scheduling and completion of work.

• Plan and prepare for equipment shutdowns. During shutdowns, assist Outage Coordinator and contractors in making revisions/adjustments as necessary to return equipment back to production on time. Following shutdowns, make corrections through the post outage review process for future enhancements.

• Responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance plans and Preventative Maintenance work orders.

• Responsible for asset management Bill of Materials and storeroom parts criticality.

• Responsible for procuring and ordering parts.

• Establish job scopes and time frames for all work requests and projects. Tasks may require: generating PESHR's, RFA's, GANTT Charts; developing or obtaining drawings/prints from multiple resources; ordering parts and/or materials required; specifying part information and verifying equipment availability through production center.

• Maintain necessary records as required by OSHA or other governing bodies

MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS:

• Demonstrated application of advanced technical knowledge of Oracle eAM or other computerized maintenance management system software

• Understand, generate and follow PESHR and RFA requirements.

• Coordinate training of a backup planner/scheduler.

RISK MANAGEMENT:

• Act as a link in the teams Help chain, includes supporting plant manufacturing activities through on-call and / or call-in activities

• Report any problems, startup issues or abnormal conditions; recommend counter-measures and solutions

• Support the team in investigating EHS incidents, pulling the help chain as defined by EHS and Area procedures.

• Communicate with EHS and all contractors in reference to all OSHA and Arconic safety requirements. Conduct pre-task briefs, as required, and ensure contractors follow guidelines as per contracted services policy.

• Maintain awareness of project GANTT charts, outage plans and communicate timelines to the Scheduler, Outage Coordinators and contractors.

• Act as a link in the teams Help chain, includes supporting plant manufacturing activities through on-call and / or call-in activities

• Report any problems, startup issues or abnormal conditions; recommend counter-measures and solutions

• Maintain 70% completion compliance of Preventative Maintenance Plans

OTHER NECESSSARY FUNCTIONS:

• Follows all policies, procedures, and EHS requirements.

• Performs other duties as requested by management.

• Promotes and practices Arconic Business System concepts and philosophies.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution

• Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1-year Project Leader experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Working knowledge of ADEPT

• Working knowledge of AutoCad

• Experience with Oracle eAM

• Associates degree in a technical discipline: Welding, Metal Fabrication, Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Sheet Metal, Machine Shop, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Heating-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning (HVAC) from an accredited institution
