Posted in General Business 30+ days ago.

Type: Full-Time
Location: Chico, California

Job Description:

Hajoca Corporation is the nation's largest privately held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and air-conditioning, industrial pipes-valves-fittings, pool and waterworks supplies for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure construction. We have approximately 400 locations, called Profit Centers, throughout the United States, representing the premier product lines in our industry.

Since 1858, Hajoca has been blending the strengths and clout of a large company with freedom and opportunity for employees. The company will continue to grow and prosper because our fundamental business philosophy works: emphasis on entrepreneurial spirit, expert knowledge, strong incentives for our employees, and devotion to Hajoca's proven business principles of "Service, Integrity, Reliability."

Do you have a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity? Are you decisive and safety conscious? Do you value customer satisfaction? Are you looking for a fulfilling career instead of just a job? If so, then Buttes Pipe and Supply Co., a division of Hajoca Corporation, would like you to join the dedicated team at our Chico CA location as a Warehouse Manager. Our 5 person team has been servicing the Chico Area and surrounding communities for 52 years offering the very best in Plumbing wholesale. We are a close-knit group that works together to provide the best service to both new and existing customers.

The Warehouse Manager ensures that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective manner in compliance with company policy, OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations. As a Warehouse Manager with Hajoca your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise, schedule, and train warehouse and delivery staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of all warehouse functions.

  • Supervise and schedule the maintenance of all company delivery vehicles and material handling equipment in use in the warehouse.

  • Review and maintain appropriate DOT records and physical examination certificates for drivers and current certification of training for forklift operators.

  • Maintain the safety of warehouse operations in compliance with the company's Safety Standards, OSHA, and any other applicable regulations.

  • Maintain the security of the warehouse and grounds to protect the Profit Center's assets.

  • Resolve all delivery complaints and receiving disputes quickly and effectively.

Although Hajoca is a large company, we work in a decentralized environment where each of our locations is run by a Profit Center Manager as if it was their own small business. We give you the tools you need to succeed, investing in your personal and professional growth through targeted training programs, and reward team success through our profit sharing opportunities and generous benefits package which includes:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage

  • 401 (k) and retirement cash account

  • Life insurance

  • Pre-tax accounts for healthcare and dependent care

  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time

Hajoca Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer (EOE and M/F/Disability/Veterans.) We are a drug free workplace, with pre-employment drug screening required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.

As a Warehouse Manager, you must possess a strong work ethic, be level-headed, and safety-focused. Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills are essential.

    All interested applicants must possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent industry experience

  • Minimum 2 years of material handling experience

  • Minimum of 1 years warehouse management experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with team members, customers, and vendors

  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and be able to apply and enforce, OSHA, DOT and other material handling safety regulations.

  • A proper and valid driver's license

Our ideal candidate will also possess:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of products

  • A demonstrated history of leadership experience

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills

  • Experience operating material-handling equipment
