As the Operations Accounting Manager you will lead the operations accounting activities for our Specialty Coatings and Materials business, including sites in Barberton OH, Lake Charles LA, Monroeville PA and related warehouses. The goal of this position is to provide accurate and timely data related to product costs, manufacturing operations and relevant variances.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and development of direct employees and leadership to the extended SCM operations group.
• Provide outstanding financial analysis to drive Plant Operations performance.
• Responsible for month end close activities related to production and operations and preparation of internal management reporting.
• Support slow moving and obsolete inventory initiatives.
• Prepare the annual manufacturing budgets, detailed by category & cost center for the determination of accurate product costs.
• Complete the annual product re-costs in support of accurate inventory valuation and business decisions focused on product profitability.
• Prepare and completion of periodic LIFO reporting to Corporate Finance.
• Support team on reconciliation of the annual physical inventories.
• Preparation and completion of various year-end Corporate, or US Government, financial or manufacturing statistics schedules.
• Guide the development, implementation, and adherence to other financial policies and procedures leading to internal financial and operating controls in compliance with Corporate policies.
• Act as a strong Business Partner to the Plant leadership team and Industrial segment leadership.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required
• A minimum of 5 years in an Operations Accounting position within a plant manufacturing environment is required.
• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.
• Strong leadership ability and astute communication style are required
• Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred
• Technical proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel is required. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
