Position Summary:         


The Product Owner works across the product lifecycle, focused on the execution of design, build, testing, and launch of new or enhanced customer solutions for the fitness and wellness industry deployed on mobile (iOS and Andriod) and desktop (Windows and macOS).  This role will work cross-functionally with development, marketing and customer stakeholders to lead the successful delivery of the business’s strategic product vision. This position will also manage the product post-launch to ensure product efficacy, customer adoption and satisfaction.


 


Responsibilities:


Define the products-


·Collect and synthesize information from customers, partners, competitors and internal organizations such as engineering and business development teams as inputs to product concept development and product planning


· Perform market analysis for current and future products and technologies


· Develop and refine product strategy and roadmap with clear product positioning and rigorous business case support


· Perform technical and business trade-offs of various product concepts and features


· Develop and manage detailed executable product requirements-based product strategy and roadmap


· Define product price target based on market analysis and product positioning


· Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects, product backlog, etc., including providing the decision to create, fix or defer at the project level


· Gather and document detailed requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product and process enhancements


Develop the products-


· Owner of product's technical and business performance


· Work with user experience, engineering, business development and production teams to ensure successful execution of product development and release


· Ensure that products meet all key criteria, such as specified functionality, performance, reliability, marketability, cost targets, and sustainability


· Perform product life-cycle management


Market the products-


· Lead internal training plans, working with marketing, operations, and sales teams


· Support business development and marketing teams in marketing product to potential customers and markets


· Gain deep understanding of customer and market needs and issues, and develop the right solution with the right products to solve customer's problems


 


Education & Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience


· Required 4+ years of relevant experience


· Experience working in a software development environment; ideally with mobile and desktop platform support


· Experience writing user stories and using product management and development tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)


· Experience using one or more mock-up/wire-framing tools preferred.

· Proven history of gathering requirements for mobile and desktop applications
