We are looking for a full time Material Handler - Equipment at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. Garmin’s Material Handlers work with minimal supervision to operate material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting material with accuracy, while maintaining responsibility for following departmental procedures including FIFO and LIFO policies, ESD guidelines for static sensitive materials and complying with Garmin’s Attendance Policy. In this role, you’ll be responsible for examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking and packing items for storage and/or shipment, while ensuring accuracy of inventory, transactions and material movement and adhering to departmental procedures. Due to the amount of resources and expense exhausted in training for this position, a minimum of one year from the start of this position will be required before an associate is eligible for a job transfer.
The ability to safely and efficiently operate at least three pieces of motorized material handling equipment such as a turret truck, reach truck, cherry pickers, counter balance and pallet walkies and compliance with procedures and guidelines for reporting safety incidents is a key to this role.
