Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance/ Accounting
Experience Requirement: 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting, reporting and/or auditing with large global corporation or accounting firm. Experience in the Property & Casualty Reinsurance industry would be a plus.
Job Description:
Report to the VP financial Operation
Oversee and compile financial and management reporting for multiple segments (domestic and international), including but not limited to:
Ensure accuracy of monthly interfaces to People Soft
Prepare journal entries if necessary
Perform/Review account reconciliation
Prepare/review Segmental reporting for multiple segments
Prepare/review reporting for multiple Business Units across international jurisdictions
Prepare/review business analytics
Compile information needed for regulatory reporting in the US and overseas (i.e. Schedule F, Schedule P, and Lloyds reporting)
Liaise with external and internal auditors to provide necessary audit support and documentation.
Ensure compliance with Company policies, rules and regulations
Maintain compliance with Sarbanes & Solvency II controls
Periodically re-evaluate our control environment to reflect business or technological changes
Work to streamline, improve and standardize processes
Partner with IT to automate processes and develop reports
Evaluate impact of business change to our processes
Manage and coach junior staff members.
Systems
Advanced data analytics using MS Excel
Working knowledge of People Soft and SQL query (basics) would be a plus
Experience with financial automation would be a plus.
