Position Summary:

The Sr. Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the Sales team to accurately project demand for products by item by location by week. This position will support Operations to effectively maximize service levels, minimize costs and drive efficient use of manufacturing assets consistent with Harvest Hill's published goals and objectives. This position directly reports to the Sr. Manager of Demand & Production Planning.

The ideal candidate for this position will have relevant work experience with demand planning or production planning, worked with demand planning software solutions, have sound communication skills, have a passion for business, and the ability to problem solve by applying data-based analysis.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Analyze and synthesize sales forecasts and other inputs from the Sales team


• Triangulate proposed forecast against consumption trends and probability analysis to validate reasonableness


• Prepare, organize and distribute demand plans


• Prepare and maintain forecast accuracy data by item, location and sales person


• Report forecast changes accompanied by data based reconciliations on a weekly and/or monthly basis


• Maintain and update demand plans across numerous brands and plant locations


• Maintain and update Monthly Consensus Meeting Notes


• Identify and communicate major changes to demand plans quickly and accurately


• Maintain, update and distribute merchandising grid of key high profile high volume events


• Push back on sales when past data does not support future projections


• Collect data from disparate sources and distill down to a usable demand projection

Position Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (ERP software) and Demand Solutions (DSX - demand planning software), or other ERP and demand planning software solutions


• Minimum of 5 years of experience


• Basic understanding of the role demand planning plays in both short term and long term supply chain planning


• Knowledge of manufacturing processes


• Understanding of connection between sales, promotions, demand planning and production planning


• Strong problem solving capability


• Solid math skills


• Working knowledge of ERP Systems


• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills


• A self starter with a "can do" attitude


• Works well in a team environment and independently


• Good communication skills


• Strong organization skills
