The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment.This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. This position reports directly to the plant manager.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and managing performance of all employees within department.
Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions, and resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
Owns team production plan schedule and efficiency and is accountable for team's results.
Ensures operation of equipment by ensuring proper operating procedures are followed by employees and contractors.
Provides manufacturing information by analyzing and compiling production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
3-5 years' supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiar with Plant Apps & Historian. ERP system experience preferred.
Preferred understanding of food safety and/or consumer packaged goods industry
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard and telephone.Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting 50lbs, ability to adjust vision for close vision work.Occasional exposure to airborne dust, high humidity and extreme heat are possible in the plant.
