What you will do


  • This highly visible leadership position in the Sensormatic business unit has Global responsibilities for internal business intelligence.  As a global vertical, Sensormatic goes to market through multiple channels and solution offerings. This role will lead efforts and be responsible for the aggregation of critical internal business intelligence data to ensure business leaders have access to reporting and business health indicators that guide their decisions. Identifying and collecting the data, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, and organizing the data into meaningful reports and dashboards will be critical part of this role.

  • This role leverages collaborative and influencing leadership skills to execute on strategic pricing projects and initiatives to improve contribution margin / SINC, customer growth and profitability, and support strategic business priorities.  This is a hands-on role in a fast paced, dynamically evolving marketplace. This role will report directly to the Global Director Sales Intelligence.

How you will do it


  • Set strategy and leads the collection and integration of internal and external data intelligence to unlock business insights and value through advanced analytics like market basket, dynamic deal scoring, and share of wallet opportunities 

  • Maintains key relationships with Commercial Leadership, Regional GMs, and Sales Operations to translate opportunities and insights into customer action plans and engagement strategies 

  • Directs Business Instrumentation efforts and owns partnership with IT and other business functions in establishing key standard practices & definition in the migration to Google Cloud for internal data staging platform, and supports the data presentation layer in Power BI and Looker 

  • Leads cross-functional team to create a sustainable and scalable model to provide a full view of a Customer’s External and Internal health profile including but not limited to: key financial metrics, size of wallet, customer scorecards & profitability waterfalls, quick win actions and other meaningful learnings from the data 

  • Defines and maintains key hierarchical component definitions to support data segmentation strategies 

  • Lead and coordinate efforts to establish Master Data Management (MDM) rules and nomenclature to improve and align data integrity and consistency across global business, and multiple product portfolio business units 

  • Directs analytics reporting to align approaches and messaging of internal business performance metrics, including but not limited to customer & product performance, geographic segmented performance, individual sales performance and overall sales force effectiveness 

  • Identifies and leverages best practices both internal and external working towards the goal of standardized views and elimination of variation in reporting and conflicting messages 

  • Identifies / recommends / implements critical enterprise instrumentation and architecture tools in support of business intelligence gathering and reporting on KPIs as identifies by corporate and business unit leadership 

  • Designs, delivers, and automates key business dashboards as defined by interaction with business leadership and in support of strategic initiatives & priorities 

  • Partners with other business intelligence / data analysts in other Sensormatic and JCI businesses to leverage best practices and information sharing 

  • Serves as the primary relationship manager and key contact for Sensormatic business to ensure alignment with broader, JCI corporate strategies in this space 

What we look for


  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in related areas 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or closely related field, MBA or experience equivalent preferred  

  • Ability to travel 20%

  • Comprehensive understanding of customer needs and trends. Must align customer requirements with business / profitability requirements. Must have intimate understanding of sales process and sales team capabilities. 

  • Skilled communicator who influences and shapes images within the business across multiple functions (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance) 

  • Proven track record of successfully leading, motivating and directing a function through change in a highly competitive, continuously evolving business

  • Role model exemplary relationship building with customers and key internal and external stakeholders 

  • Demonstrate compelling communication and influencing skills 

  • Effective at achieving strong results through others 

  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, establish action plans, set clear goals, monitor and communicate progress, and follow through on all initiatives to completion
