 Job Summary 


This is an exciting opportunity to join Edelman?s busy marketing department, which builds and maintains the Edelman brand and reputation, to support growth. You will work within the global marketing team who develop and execute the marketing and communications strategy for the firm.

The marketing function works across a range of cross-sector programs, IP and employee initiatives, creating a pipeline of content that brings recognition to Edelman, its people, thought leadership and the campaigns we create for clients every day.

In this role, the copywriter / editor will support editorial development, including copywriting for event and marketing assets, long-form and short-form writing for digital platforms (including website and social), as well as proofing and editing content related to Edelman?s IP, internal and external corporate communications and campaign and event assets. 


Key responsibilities:
 




  • Adopt and guide Edelman?s global brand voice and editorial style to develop copy that supports campaign, event and brand asset development across digital platforms (web and social), as well as internal and external corporate communications 

  • Copyedit and proof-read Edelman materials and assets, including website content (including blogs, perspectives and whitepapers), event and campaign marketing materials and internal/external communications for spelling, grammar, style and consistency 

  • Translate SEO technical feedback into editorially-optimized website copy to enhance website traffic and lead-gen objectives
     

  • Work closely with global social media manager and global website manager to ensure editorial style is consistent across all digital platforms 

  • Collaborate closely with global IP team to support narrative and editorial content development that translates complex, research/data reports into simplified narratives
     

  • Show awareness of brand tone, flagging any copy for sensitivity issues or misalignment with Edelman guidelines
     

  • Partner closely with the global Editorial Designer to craft brand positioning and language at Edelman, as well as ensure editorial content across Edelman?s brand is consistent and in compliance with global brand guidelines

Essential Requirements


  • Minimum two - three years? B2B experience in copyediting and writing

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity with the AP style guide

  • Experience in working across multiple time zones

  • Demonstrable organizational skills with a proactive attitude to work

  • Ability to work at a fast page and use own initiative whilst working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment

  • Ability to adapt to new brand editorial styles

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Awareness of digital platforms ? Microsoft Teams experience an advantage
